Finding the right cannabis product is a little like finding the right face wash, or shampoo. Everyone reacts differently to different compounds and forms of hemp based on a number of factors, so the only true way to find what works best for you is to listen to your body and experiment. That said, there are a number of helpful things to consider that may increase your chances of finding the right fit for you. The first step is finding out what method of consumption you prefer.
Do you prefer smoking, vaping or edibles?
Vaping and smoking allow cannabinoids like CBD and delta-8 to enter the bloodstream almost instantly, whereas our fast-acting gummies can take twenty to thirty minutes to start taking effect. For those that don’t want to inhale and are cool with a short wait, gummies are just as effective at delivering the same benefits, plus they’re discreet and delicious!

Flower, or Pre-Roll?
Pre-rolls are ideal if you don’t like to roll, or you value convenience. Flowers are best for those who like smoking out of glass, rolling their own blunts or joints, or mixing their hemp flower with weed. Whatever your preference, both products come from the same artisan hemp buds we harvest mere months before shipping in our SoCal greenhouse. Our pre-rolls are never made with shake, trim, or biomass, so you really can’t go wrong with either option.
CBD blunt, or pre-roll?
If you decide to go with a pre-roll and want a longer lasting, more potent option, our king palm pre-rolls have 1.2 grams of hemp flower in each. They’re made with natural palm leaves and come in a smell-proof container.
Picking a hemp flower strain
No one can tell you what strain is best for you, or how a certain strain will make you feel, but there are some differences between strains to consider that may give you some idea of what to expect. Strains differ primarily based on two things: terpenes and cannabinoids.
Cannabinoids and Hemp Flower
A cannabinoid is just a compound in cannabis like CBD, or THC, that delivers certain effects. There are three main types of hemp flower: CBG flower, CBD flower, and CBDV flower. These are given their names according to the cannabinoid that dominates its cannabinoid profile.
CBG flower vs CBD flower
Both CBD and CBG flower are non-intoxicating, meaning they don’t make you high.
CBG binds directly with both our CB1 and CB2 receptors, which might make it more potent when delivering certain effects. Generally, people like to use CBG to stimulate their appetite, soothe their bodies, and de-stress.
Other than that, CBD flower and CBG flower share most of the same potential benefits and will likely provide a similar experience. Though none of our products are meant to be used medicinally, there is research (and testimonials from our customers) that supports both CBD and CBG having therapeutic potential for relief from:
Anxiety
Inflammation
Sleeplessness
Pain
Despite all of the promising research going on, everyone’s body reacts differently to different cannabinoids and potencies, so the only way to know for sure what works best for you is to test them out by dosing yourself incrementally, listening to your body, and adjusting in accordance with your intuition.

What is CBDV flower?
CBDV flower is almost exactly the same as CBD flower, the primary difference being that CBDV strains can sometimes be more potent. This is because, while producing the typical CBD percentage range, CBDV strains also produce smaller amounts of CBDV which increases the total amount of cannabinoids. Many people prefer this because it can provide a stronger overall effect.
CBDV is relatively new, so there hasn’t been much research done on it’s effects, but three studies done between 2010-2019 found that CBDV may help with nausea, anxiety, regrowing muscle fibers for recovery, and inflammation.

Terpenes in different strains
Terpenes are essential oils found in cannabis and other plants / fruits, responsible for many of the aromas and effects of both marijuana and hemp flowers alike. Terpenes can cause a strain to smell like a pine tree, a lemon peel, and are also responsible for how it makes you feel, like whether you become tired or energetic. Looking at a strain's terpene profile isn’t an exact science of how it will affect you, but it can help give you an idea of what vibe to expect.

Delta-8, or full-spectrum CBD?
If you’re looking for a euphoric buzz, our delta-8 carts are your best bet, but if you want all the relaxation without the high, then you should go with our full-spectrum CBD carts. Delta-8 THC is about 60-70% as potent as normal delta-9 THC, and shares many of the same benefits and effects.
Potential benefits and effects of delta-8 THC
Some people prefer delta-8 over delta-9 because they feel they are less likely to experience the potential negative effects of THC such as anxiety, lethargy, and paranoia. Delta-8 THC is understudied compared to delta-9 THC, however—given their similarity in molecular structure—they are thought to share many of the same potential benefits, such as:
- Pain relief
- Improved sleep
- Reduced nausea
- Reduced anxiety
- Euphoria
- Munchies
Although many of our customers report experiencing these phenomena, our D-8 carts are not meant for any clinical, or medicinal purpose.
Potential benefits and effects of full spectrum CBD
Our full-spectrum CBD cartridges are non-intoxicating, but still provide many of the benefits of cannabis. They contain CBD, CBG, CBT and a blend of naturally occurring terpenes, all extracted from high quality hemp and all which yield their own unique effects. While we can’t promise you’ll experience any of these effects, full-spectrum CBD has been said to help with:
- Pain relief
- Improving sleep
- Reducing nausea
- Reducing anxiety
- Immune system boost
- Reducing inflammation
CBD carts can be a great way to experience some natural relief, but they’re meant to be a supplement to, not a replacement for, a healthy lifestyle and professional medical guidance.
Picking the right CBD vape strain
Just like picking a hemp flower strain, finding the right CBD vape strain is a lot like finding the right wine. Every strain is different and it takes time to acquire and develop your taste. At the end of the day, it’s up to you to find out what you like, but one thing that can give you a better idea of what to expect from a given strain are terpenes.

By looking into a strains terpene profile, you can get an idea of what it’s vibe is and whether or not it’s right for you.

Considering CBG content
While the most important cannabinoid to decide on when picking a vape strain is delta-8 vs CBD—given that one is intoxicating and the other isn’t—the second most important is CBG. Because our vapes are full spectrum, they contain varying amounts of CBD and CBG in each strain.
CBG is non-intoxicating and doesn't produce a high. It binds directly with both our CB1 and CB2 receptors, which might make it more potent than CBD when delivering certain effects. Generally, people like to use CBG to stimulate their appetite, soothe their bodies, and de-stress.
In descending order, here are the vape cartridges with the highest CBG content:

Choosing the right CBD gummy product
Most CBD gummies are going to have a similar effect of subtle relaxation and relief, however there are a few differences between the three choices we offer to consider. First, is the difference between our valerian root gummies and our CBDa gummies.
Valerian Root Gummies For Sleep
Valerian root has been used as far back as Ancient times for insomnia and anxiety relief. Since then, there has been some research that adds credibility to this age-old practice, including this study which concludes that around 80% of people found valerian root improved sleep compared with a placebo group. Our gummies also contain CBD, which when paired is like throwing the natural remedy “kitchen sink” at it, as both have shown promise to help with sleep and relief.
Like most medicinal herbs, valerian root is not clinically approved to treat insomnia and shouldn’t be treated as such.
Blueberry Valerian Root CBD gummies
CBDa gummies for immune boost + pain relief
CBDa is the acidic, or raw, form of CBD. Being as such, it offers a very similar experience as CBD, but researchers have taken interest in its potential as an anti-inflammatory given it’s similarity in neurological properties to NSAIDS (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs). Other than that, CBDa has long been thought to have immune boosting properties, and a recent study even showed that CBDa may prevent COVID from entering human cells. No, this doesn’t mean our gummies will stop you from getting COVID, but it is exciting to see the anecdotal immune boosting power of CBDa finally being researched!
Strawberry Lemonade CBDa gummies
CBD gummies for potency
If you’re not interested in experimenting with valerian root, or CBDa, then our classic CBD gummies are an obvious choice. They are twice as potent as both other options in terms of mg CBD content, 20 mg vs 10 mg, and are roughly the same price.
